Zhongshan,Guangdong Update  We first met Yau Yau in Oct 2007, she was deaf and mute, never been to school, she loved to draw. Kwung Fan and she lived with their grandfather. Their mother was in a mental hospital, father left home. She was a very unhappy girl. Kwung Fan was an angry and rebellious boy. Together with Loongdu Christian Church, we intervened. We told them to have hope in Jesus, offered food and education subsidy to help the family. Loongdu Christian Church helped Yau Yau to register at the State runs special school for the deaf and mute, we were told there was a long waiting list. But our God is a God of miracle. Six months later she was accepted. Update  We visited Yau Yau again in April 2010, both her brother’s and her countenance has changed, they have peace and joy inside of them. Their grandfather passed away late last year. They now live with their uncle. Both children go to boarding school. Yau Yau is a much happier girl with the new hearing aids, she learns how to read and write! Kwung Fan is no longer an angry boy, his new school helps him to build up confidence. Loongdo Christian Church would send bus around on weekends to take the children to “Sunday School” and they enjoy fellowship with other children. I am very happy to see the change and progress of Yau Yau. Yau Yau and Kwung Fan received an opportunity to have a meaningful life again because of your giving.
